Description
The Transportation Customer Service Specialist will part of a professional logistics department for all of the Lindt & Sprunglii North America locations. This will be the key contact for carrier and customer inquiries and assistance. The Specialist - Customer Service must be an outgoing and friendly individual with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Essential Functions
  • Utilize customer websites, email and phone calls to schedule delivery appointments with customers and carriers
  • Route delivery orders in our Transportation Management System (TMS)
  • Handle all inquiries on transportation delivery issues and follows steps for resolution per management directives
  • Resolve customer delivery problems in a proactive manner which could include working with customer service and customers to change required delivery dates
  • Run daily appointment reports and update our Baan system with any changes as they occur
  • Assist customers in obtaining delivery times as requested
  • Respond to correspondence from sales teams, customers and carriers
  • Perform clerical duties as required
  • Track and trace shipments as needed
  • Complete special tasks or projects assigned by management

Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 6 months experience of high volume customer service
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Data entry experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree
  • Transportation scheduling experience
  • Proactive problem solving capabilities
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Experience using Web based systems; Baan, TMS
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access
