Lindt & Sprüngli (North America) Inc. is building a new SAP team within its Information Technology group to support its existing S4/HANA/FIORI based SAP environment as well as to bring up other business units to the same platform. This SAP Technical Lead at the core will be an SAP Developer with expertise in ABAP, FIORI, SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) and other integration technologies with a flair to understand and involve in Security and BASIS activities as needed.

  • Own the SAP Development and Integration space, utilizing ABAP, FIORI, CPI, and other integration technologies
  • Facilitate technical requirement gathering, blueprinting, technical documentation, development, testing, and implementation of technical solutions
  • Manage S/4 HANA Security, including Roles and Authorizations, and assist in BASIS tasks when needed
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with and assist SAP functional owners and IT Infrastructure teams
  • Act as liaison between Integration team and functional consultants
  • Develop and maintain applications using ABAP Workbench tools, ODATA, and FIORI as required to implement and support SAP FIORI, S/4 environment solutions
  • Develop SAP ABAP objects for reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms and workflows
  • Build outbound/inbound ABAP interfaces using IDOCs, BAPIs, RFCs to/from Middleware, and flat files
  • Extend SAP FIORI applications
  • SAP FIORI Launch pad configuration and app integration
  • Mass maintenance using LSMW
  • Manage technical issue resolution, interaction with internal and external resources, and independent research and investigation
  • Develop best practices for SAP S4HANA/FIORI/UI development
  • Be responsible for leading opportunities driving modernization using SAP’s new technology, tools, features, and functions


Basic Qualifications
  • Four-year college degree in Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • At least four (4) years technical experience in SAP S4/HANA/FIORI environment
  • Strong SAP technical, analytical, problem-solving, solution design and programming skills
  • In-depth knowledge of ABAP development including FIORI, S/4 HANA Security and BASIS Administration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to impart ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
  • Ability to handle Maintenance and Projects environments simultaneously
  • Demonstrated experience on mid-to-large SAP rollout and development efforts
  • Ability to manage priorities, assess and adjust as needed
  • Thorough knowledge of online and/or printed SAP reference sources, such as the SAP Service Marketplace and SAP Developers Network
  • Experience working in a complex SAP environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Six (6) years of SAP experience, participation in two full life-cycle deployments
  • Strong understanding of technical SAP areas, including ABAP, FIORI, BASIS and Security
  • SAP FIORI and UI5 related technologies
  • SAP FIORI Launch pad configuration and app integration
  • Knowledge of Solution Manager tools, including CUA, ChaRM, Test Suite
  • Knowledge of development life cycle and project management procedures and processes
  • Understanding of the Agile and waterfall development processes
  • Experience working in a 24x7 IT environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment but be capable of managing multiple tasks from start to finish alone as needed
  • Ability to balance short-term decisions with longer-term impacts
  • Capable of researching and identifying technology solutions
  • Ability to troubleshoot, determine root cause, and take appropriate action to permanently resolve recurring issues
  • Enjoy complicated challenges in a fast-paced, growing environment
  • Well-organized, efficient, and knowledgeable
  • SAP certification(s)
