Lindt & Sprüngli (North America) Inc. (LSNA) is building up a new SAP team within its Information Technology group to deliver some crucial SAP S/4 implementation projects in the next 3 to 7 years.  This position will support and develop the SAP solutions once they are implemented. This role will be responsible for the design, implementation, delivery and support of SAP IBP and SAP MRP on Hana and S/4 HANA Manufacturing for Planning and Scheduling solutions.  This will occur during the different phases of the implementation projects and beyond (i.e. once the implementation is completed).  A solid business understanding of supply planning processes, combined with hands-on SAP configuration experience is necessary.  Candidate must understand integration points and dependencies between the SAP planning components and other SAP modules.

This position may be located in Kansas City, MO, Stratham, NH, or San Leandro, CA


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Understands the business needs and leads thoughtful design discussions around meeting those business needs in a standard manner, fully leveraging SAP product capabilities
  • Provides best fitting solutions to design demand planning, production planning and scheduling process, based on standard SAP IBP and S/4 functionality
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge and ability to configure and understand the core supply planning processes, specifically: demand planning, S&OP, supply planning (from MRP / MPS, to production planning and production scheduling)
  • Defines technical and functional standards and ensures delivered work meets technical, functional, performance and business requirements as well as best practices
  • Converts requirements into program specifications and necessary system documentation
  • Configures SAP IBP S&OP, SAP modules based on business requirements
  • Executes and leads testing processes (unit and integration test)
  • Application support, facilitates changes, responds to tickets and trains end users
  • Aids in the management of third-party vendors
  • Provides support to management regarding strategy and roadmap planning

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience or 2 full implementation cycles in the following areas
    • SAP IBP for S&OP (and/or APO DP and SCM)
    • SAP MRP in ECC / APO
    • SAP PP/DS
  • Experience that spans design to hands-on configuration
  • Familiarity of the underlying technical underpinnings of SAP
  • Knowledge and understanding of the following end to end business processes: Demand Planning, S&OP, Supply Planning (MRP, MPS, Production Planning, Production Scheduling)
  • Experience in complex SAP environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in SAP IBP for S&OP, DP, SCM, MRP and PP/DS
  • SAP MRP on HANA
  • S/4 HANA Manufacturing for Planning and Scheduling
  • Strong knowledge of the integration between IBP and S/4
  • Basic ABAP skills
  • Basic knowledge of SAP BI tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or Business
  • Incisive analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge and experience of the consumer goods industry is highly preferred
  • SAP’s certification(s)
