The Transportation Procurement Analyst will support all sourcing activities within Lindt & Sprüngli (North America) Inc. (LSNA) transportation function (capacity, systems, services) in support of the Lindt & Sprüngli brands across the United States (Lindt US, Ghirardelli, Russell Stover). This position will be a key contributor to the development and implementation of carrier strategies to provide high service and cost-effective transportation across all modes.

This role will interact with multiple vendors, require cross brand/functional collaboration, and require highly analytical and problem-solving skills and a natural curiosity for driving continuous improvement.
  • Lead KPI tracking, analyzing, and reporting for many transportation procurement metrics
  • Maintain carrier compliance tracking through regular scorecards
  • Actively communicate with carriers and across the LSNA transportation team regarding carrier performance
  • Use a variety of tools to predict and improve service and/or cost tied to daily operations
  • Provide and communicate recommendations to senior leadership
  • Provide support during all RFPs to ensure LSNA transportation is aligning partner carriers to meet service requirements and financial targets; this will require heavy analysis
  • Own the ongoing maintenance of the routing guide for LSNA transportation/TMS team
  • Assist with ad-hoc rate questions for all transportation modes and provide pricing for various scenarios that may arise
  • Collaborate with all transportation planners to provide transportation solutions that meet service and cost targets
  • Analyze transportation spend for cost savings and/or avoidance and support flawless execution of plans
  • Provide monthly, weekly, and ad hoc data analysis to support decision making
  • Special projects and duties as assigned by management

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – advanced skills preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly collaborative – ability to excel in a team environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize

Preferred Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Business, Transportation, or Supply Chain
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with scorecards and metrics
  • 2+ years of experience in the areas of transportation, logistics, operations, SCM, or finance
